Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home for Mr. Claud C. Pardue, 83, of Talmo, who passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Rev. Johnny Knight, Rev. Jimmy Sargent, Rev. Don Maynard will officiate. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Loudsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Born in Cleveland, GA on September 2, 1928, he was the son of the late Frank and Flora Ledford Pardue. He was a Navy Veteran and owner/operator of Pardue Enterprises. He was a member of Loudsville United Methodist Church; he was an antique auctioneer for 30 years; past Exalted Ruler of Gainesville Elks, past President of Jefferson Rotary Club, chief of North Jackson Fire Department where he was instrumental in starting the fire dept.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Jeff Pardue; brothers, Ray Pardue, Rufus Pardue, Coy Pardue; sister, Thelma Pardue and 3 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret L. Pardue of Talmo; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and James Simmons of Cornelia; son, Greg C. Pardue of Talmo; six grandchildren, Jason Pardue, Greg Pardue, Ginger Simmons, Joy White, Scott Simmons, Eli Tucker and seven great grandchildren.
