Betty Ann Gasaway

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Betty Ann Long Gasaway, 76, of Monroe who passed away today at the Landmark Hospital in Athens.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Nezzie Hill Long and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Robbie Gasaway.

Survivors include her children, Joann Edwards of Monroe and Robert Daniel Gasaway of Commerce; grandchildren, Jonathan Hensley, Joseph Edwards and Richard Gasaway; 7 great grandchildren; a niece, Shirley Thomas of Commerce and a nephew, Buster Wright of Jefferson.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 4 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Hillman officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. However, there will be no formal committal at the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home on behalf of the family.
