Mrs. Mary Cain Gifford, age 85 of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Earl Pirkle will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gifford was born October 10, 1925 in Cumming, Georgia to the late George Harlan Cain and Lola Kilgore Cain. She was a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Gifford was a member of Flowery Branch Methodist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lenard Gifford; and son, Larry Gifford; brothers, Leon, Robert and Walton Cain; and sister, Ann Mooney.
Mrs. Gifford is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Steve LeMond of California; daughter-in-law, Lyn Gifford; grandchildren, Aimee Levine, Lauren LeMond, Andrew LeMond, Debra Gifford, Larry Gifford, John Gifford and Chris Gifford; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn Crane; and a number of very special, precious nieces and nephews.
