Alec Bunyan Bagwell, Jr.

Mr. Alec Bunyan Bagwell, Jr., 57 of Gainesville died Wednesday September 21, 2011 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A life long resident of Hall County, Alec was the son of the late Bunyan and Carolyn Cooper Bagwell. He was employed with the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Department and was a member of the Harmony Hall Baptist Church.

Alec loved to fly fish and was an avid hunter, and enjoyed playing golf. He also was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew him. He will be missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Sheila, a brother Andy and sister, Martha Gail.

Survivors include his wife, Shelley Avery Bagwell; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Michele Bagwell; daughter, Julie Bagwell; step daughters, Kayla Collier, Sheridan Collier; step son, Spencer Collier, all of Gainesville, son, John Bagwell and daughter, Katherine Bagwell; grandchildren, Zyannah, Kaia, Laila, Ava, Emma Kay and Alyssa Morris; sisters, Sue Jones, Hartsville, Tennessee and Amy Dodson, Oakwood.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday September 25, 2011 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John Kinsey will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday September 24, 2011 at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
