Lane Martin

Mr. Lane Martin, age 73, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, September 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, September 23, 2011 at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin was born in Dawsonville, Georgia and is the son of Fannie Lou (Dispain) Martin and the late Hoyt Martin. He was retired from Gress Foods and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death his wife, Birdie Louise Archer Martin, sons, Ronnie Martin, Sr. and Curtis Archer; brother, L.E. Martin and a sister, Nickie Taylor.

Mr. Martin is survived by his daughters, Ruthy Martin, Rachel Martin both of Gainesville; son, Ricky Martin of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Steven Mcarthy of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, William and Sandra Dean of Gainesville; son, Jack Dean of Gainesville; mother, Fannie Lou Martin; grandson, Ronnie Lane Martin, Jr.; granddaughter, Amy Gooch; brother and sister-in-law, Egbert and Nickie Martin of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Richard Reeves of Gainesville; Judy and Bob Dills of Dawsonville; sister, Lorrie Picklesimer of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Becky Martin of Gainesville; and many other grandchildren, family and friends.
