Donna Jean Edgil

Donna Jean Edgil, age 73, of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011.

She attended River of Life Church of God. Donna was a medical receptionist for over 35 years working for Dr. Jim Mashburn and Dr. Robert Dunn at Lanier Family Practice. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, nanny and best friend. Donna was known for her smile and admired for her strength. She will truly be missed.

She is preceded in death by her son, Joey Edgil and her parents, Rube and Charlsie Parrish.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Edgil Newton of Cumming; sister, JoAnn Wood of Florence, AL; brothers, Billy Parrish of Muscle Shoals, AL, Jimmy Parrish of Gulf Shores, AL, Tony Parrish of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Nathan Newton, Joseph Edgil, Cody Newton, Chase Newton, Lindsay Edgil; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2011 at River of Life Church of God with Pastor Jason Bailey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to offset the funeral expenses.
