Grace Godfrey Smith

Mrs. Grace Godfrey Smith, 95 of Gainesville died Monday October 3, 2011 at the Bell-Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 6, 2011 at the Sardis Baptist Church. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Wednesday October 5, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

A native of Forsyth County, Mrs. Smith had lived in Hall County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late William (Billy) and Ollie White Godfrey. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Smith and s son, Billy Smith.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Martha Smith; sons, Andy Smith,and Benny Smith all of Gainesville; 5 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren and sister, Mae Castleberry.
