James Taldmadge Moore

Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel in Danielsville, announces memorial services for James Talmadge Moore, 81, of Athens who passed away on Wednesday in Thomaston, GA. Born in Clarke County, he was the son of the late Talmadge and Eleise Frances Carithers Hale. He was also preceded in death by a spouse, Betty Lou Moore and a brother, Edward Hale.

Survivors include a son, David Moore of Thomaston; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, Sonny Hale and Milton Hale, both of Colbert.

Mr. Hale was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy.

The body was cremated and memorial services are scheduled for Saturday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Danielsville with Rev. Barry Black officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home located at 42 Booger Hill Rd; Danielsville on Saturday from 1-2 PM.
