Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Wards Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. JoAnn Bales, 61, of Gainesville. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bales passed away Nov. 4, 2011.

Mrs. Bales was born in Hall County to the late Alfred and Polly (Hayes) Funderburk. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Sandra Mcintyre and Juanita Hamby.

Survivors included husband, Mitchell Bales; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Stacey Tiller; daughter, Angela Chastain; brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Laverne Funderburk; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Frank Lewis, Lesia and Jerry Hicks; sister, Lavern Hicks; grandchildren, Denise Tiller, Cory Tiller, Casey Fleury, Brianna Chastain and Harley Tiller; and a host of other relatives.
