Juanita Patricia 'Pat' Deupree

Juanita Patricia 'Pat' Deupree, 83, of Alpharetta, GA died Tuesday, November 7, 2011.

Pat was born September 3, 1928 to Katie Mae and Layfette Walker in Joiner Arkansas. She had two brothers, Leon and Dick Walker, and one sister, Jean Walker Neely.

Husbands George M. Pettigrew, James L. Ragland, and Jack D. Deupree preceded her in death.

Brothers Dick Walker and Leon Walker, and a sister, Jean Walker Neely precede her in death.

Her oldest son, Jonathan Pettigrew precedes her in death.

She lived many places around the country and had many stories about these places. She attended George Washington University, where she pursued a degree in Psychology. Later, she became a hairdresser, both in large salons and then ultimately in her own salon. She loved what she did and made many friends that way.

She loved music, reading, to crochet and most of all her family. She loved big family get togethers and celebrations and spending time with all who loved her. She also enjoyed her pets over the years, and loved birds and bird watching.

Thomas Pettigrew and his wife Bonnie, son Mark Pettigrew, daughter, Grace Mignon Herr and her husband Terry, survive her. She also had two loving stepdaughters, Nancy Owens and Rose Kraskiewicz. Her sons and daughters blessed her with 15 grandchildren. Her grandchildren have also blessed her with 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many cousins, nephews and nieces and other beloved family members.

A memorial service will be planned for the spring or summer of next year. The family requests that in lieu of flowers; please make a donation to Compassionate Hospice Foundation, Inc., 1435 Haw Creek Circle, Suite 402, Cumming GA 30041.
