Robert John Carlisle

Robert John Carlisle, 53, of Dawsonville passed away Monday December 5, 2011 at Embracing Hospice following an extended illness.

Born September 16, 1958, Mr. Carlisle was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. He was a 1976 graduate of Dawson County High School and worked most of his career in residential construction. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Benny Carlisle; sister, Peggy jean Carlisle; and brother, Michael Ramey.

Surviving are his children, Cinthia and Jason Fawcett, Dawsonville, Chris Carlisle, Dahlonega, Benny Joe Carlisle, Jasper, Zachary Carlisle, Canton, Andrew Carlisle, Canton, Shyann Carlisle, Canton; mother, Alberta Carlisle, Dawsonville; sister, Marilyn Thomason, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Katlyn Graham, Aliyah Fawcett, Lukas Fawcett, Preston Fawcett.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 7, 2011 at 11 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ruel Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.
