Ralph Lee Howard

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Ralph Lee Howard, age 86, of Decatur, who passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011.

Mr. Howard was born in Jefferson, GA, a son to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lee and Almeda E. Carruth Howard.

Mr. Howard was retired from General Motors in Doraville, and was a veteran of the US Army, serving in WWII in the South Pacific Theater. Mr. Howard was a member of the Oak Grove Methodist Church in Decatur and an avid member of the Airstream Club.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Brown Howard, Decatur, son and daughter in law, Ernest Lee and Zoe Howard II, Marietta, sister, Elaine Sims, Decatur, brother, Dwight Howard, Dawsonville, sister, Jean Hayes, Jefferson, 2 Grandchildren, Forrest Howard and Garrett Howard.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Kent Burel officiating. The burial will follow in the Howard Family Cemetery in Jefferson. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-2pm, one hour prior to the service.
