Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday January 2, 2012, in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home for Mr. Robert Lanoue Turk, 61, of Gainesville. Rev. Calvin Haney will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Born on April 21, 1950, in Hall County, he was the son of the late Byron and Alma Tuggle Turk. He was a graduate of Gainesville High School and Lanier Technical Institute. He was a veteran of the Air Force and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gainesville.
Mr. Turk is survived by uncle and aunt Winburn and Martha Jo Turk of Cumming; first cousins, Eve Ferguson Odom of Gainesville, Lesa Turk and Jimmy Whitworth of Lawrenceville, Carol Turk of McDonough, David and Pam Turk of Oakwood, Mike and Dana Ferguson of Gainesville, Bobby and Sandi Ferguson of Cornelia and numerous other cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 404 Washington Street, Gainesville, GA 30501.
