Clara Lou Lewis

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Ms Clara Lou Lewis, age 88, of Cleveland. Miss Lewis passed away Wednesday, January 04, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, January 7, 2012 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dennis Taylor officiating, interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Lewis was born in White County on December 15, 1923 to the late Fred Lewis and Mandy Smith Lewis. She is preceded in death by her sister Pearl Lewis, brothers, Grady Lewis, Fred R Lewis and brother and sister in law Roy and Nola Lewis.

Ms. Lewis was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister and brother in law, Bobbie and Gene Haynes, Cleveland; nephews, Kent Lewis of Cleveland, Roger Haynes of Cleveland and Alan Haynes of Toccoa and niece Linda Sue Mead of Jacksonville.
