Emily Hoover Lloyd McClelland

Emily Lloyd McClelland, age 94, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.

Mrs. McClelland was born on January 24, 1917, in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late John and Daisy Stephens Lloyd. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. William McClelland, Jr and her brothers, John and Elbert Lloyd. Mrs. McClelland was a former clothing store owner and a homemaker. She was of the Episcopal faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Daisy McClelland, Fort Washington, MD; son and daughter-in-law, John and Ket McClelland, Springfield, VA; son, Jim McClelland, Demorest, GA; and one grandchild, Ian McClelland.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at the Grace-Calvary Episcopal Church with Rev. Dena Bearl Pilgrim officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the church.
