Ethelene Westmoreland Cathey Hunter

Mrs. Ethelene Westmoreland Cathey Hunter age 86 of Helen passed away Sunday January 22, 2012 at Northeast Ga Medical Center.

Mrs. Hunter was born September 24, 1925 in White County to the late Burch Westmoreland and Ruth Taylor Abernathy. She was a member of Chattahoochee United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Cathey and Vernon Hunter, sons, Franklin Cathey and Timothy Hunter, sister, Janie Newsome and brother, Ed Westmoreland.

Survivors include her son, Glen Cathey, Cleveland; grandchildren, Edwin Cathey, Joe Cathey, both of Cleveland, Jill Worley, Sautee, Melvin Cathey, Amy Cathey both of Cleveland; sister, Nell Vandiver, Daytona Beach, FL; brothers, Wayne Westmoreland, Neal Westmoreland, Mark Westmoreland, all of Helen.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday January 24, 2012 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jack Summers and the Rev. Randy Walworth will officiate. Interment will be in Nacoochee United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
