Jimmy L. Blankenship

Mr. Jimmy L. Blankenship, age 61, of Flowery Branch passed away January 22, 2012 after a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 from the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with entombment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Pastor Dean Blankenship and Pastor Jonathan Sosebee will officiate. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012.

Mr. Blankenship was born May 28, 1950 and attended Chicopee Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Bennett Jefferson Blankenship; brother, Paul Bennett Blankenship; and grandson, Jeffrey Blankenship.

Survivors include his mother, Gloria Blankenship of Flowery Branch; son, Jeff Blankenship of Greenville, SC; daughter & son-in-law, Tina & Don Collins of Orlando, FL; brother & sister-in-law, Dean & Jane Blankenship of Orlando, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Benna & Keith Mangum of Flowery Branch; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
