Thomas Monroe Allison

Obituary Date: Wednesday, February 1, 2012


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 3 2012, in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home for Mr. Thomas Monroe Allison, 70, of Murrayville. Rev. Milton Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born on June 12, 1941, in Lumpkin County, he was the son of the late Marion M. and Fannie Bell Jackson Allison, Sr. He was retired from Phoenix Corporation in Norcross after 20 years of service where, he loved truck driving. He was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church in Gainesville. He was a huge NASCAR and wrestling fan.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Lola Ann Allison and brother, Grady Allison.

Mr. Allison is survived by his wife, Annaree Allison of Murrayville; daughters and sons-in-law, Penny Sexton of Gainesville, Lisa and Shawn Bogard of Buford, Amanda and Thomas Wetherford of Murrayville; sons and daughters-in-law, Shane and Lisanne Allison of Gainesville, Timothy and Dorla Allison of Burley, Idaho; brother, Junior Allison of Gainesville, sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy and Billy Williams of Gainesville, Inez Arrowood of Gainesville, Sue and Steve Dyer of Oakwood; 7 granddaughters; 4 grandsons; 1 great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
