Harold Eugene Farr

Harold Eugene Farr age 75 of Oakwood passed away Saturday Feb. 4, 2012 at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. Farr was born March 14, 1936 to the late Ernest Eugene & Ruby Barrett Farr. He was a lifelong resident of Hall County, and was retired from the Hall County Sheriff's office with 23 years of service. He served under Sheriff Wilburn Reed, Sheriff Ed England, Sheriff Dick Mecum, & Sheriff Bob Vass. He was one of the first deputies to be in the Warrant division of the sheriff's department. Mr. Farr was a member of Central Baptist Church , where he was active in the adult one Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Farr and a grandson, Dylan Brooks.

Survivors include, wife, Pat (Stephens Taylor) Farr, children & spouses, Twila & Ray Brooks, Blake & Traci Farr, step-children & spouses, Mickey & Connie Taylor, Nikki & Jorge Romero, Trisha & Dave Tyre, 3 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 7, 2012 at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Pirkle, & Rev. Boone Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Phil Carpenter officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday & Monday at the funeral home.
