Annie Lou Banks

Mrs. Annie Lou Banks, age 81, of Gainesville passed away February 14, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 from the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, with interment following at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The family will meet at the church cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Friday. Rev. Ken Anderson and Rev. Fred Enlow, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends 1:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Memorial Park Funeral Home.



Mrs. Banks was born April 24, 1930 to the late Charles Henry Ward and Dolley Burgess Ward Bennett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Banks, Sr.; step-father, Dial Bennett; brothers, Bill Ward, Monroe Ward and Henry Ward; and sisters Emma White and Gertrude Phillips.



Survivors include: sons & daughter-in-laws, Jimmy W. & Doris Banks of Kennesaw; John W. & Gayle Banks of Watkinsville; Harold W. & Rachael Banks of Methuen, MA; daughter & son-in-law, Evelyn & Jacky McDougald of Oakwood; daughter, Patti Banks Crowe of Gainesville; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Ward of Gainesville; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
