Samuel "Sam" Coats

Samuel "Sam" Coats, age 70 of Dawsonville, passed away Feb. 22. He retired from Billy Howell Ford as a service advisor after many years of service. Sam will always be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Coats of Dawsonville; children, Keith and Denise Coats of Dallas; Tracy Rich of Canton; Kerry and Tammy Coats of Cartersville; Craig and Amy Taylor of Statesboro, N.C.; Amy and Brian Giles of Dawsonville; Melissa and Thomas Estes of Savannah; 11 grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Janice Coats of Griffin; sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Arbin Martin of Dawsonville; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Roswell Cemetery with Rev. L. C. Bennett and Rev. Jason Anglin, officiating. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
