Steve Lamar Garrison

Steve Lamar Garrison, age 60 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at his daughter's residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Garrison requested no funeral services. His request was for his body to be donated to science.

Mr. Garrison was born May 14, 1951 in Gainesville, Georgia to T. J. Garrison and Billie Ann Marchbanks Garrison Freeman. He was a carpenter and of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by his father, T. J. Garrison.


Mr. Garrison is survived by his daughters & sons-in-laws, Wendy & Will Carnes of Cornelia and Kim & George Coley of Lula, son, Jason Garrison of Gainesville, grandchildren, Austin Garrison, Caden Carnes and Luke Coley, mother, Billie Freeman of Gainesville, brother, Stanley Garrison of Gainesville, brother & sister-in-law, Gary & Darlene Garrison of Gainesville, sister & brother-in-law, Rebecca & Don E. Williamson of New Albany, Indiana, special caregiver & companion, Barbara Hayes of Gainesville and long time friend, Rex Lewis of Gainesville.
