Mildred "Bill" (Carter) Suttles

Mrs. Mildred "Bill" (Carter) Suttles, age 83, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Monday, February 28, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, March 2, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church with interment to follow at 3:00 pm in Fairy Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Cisco, Georgia (Murray County). Her remains will lie in state at the church from 10:30 to 11:00 am. The Reverend Michael Kirby will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the funeral home.


Mrs. Suttles was born in Murray County, Georgia, March 2, 1928 and was the daughter of the late John William Carter and Nellie Mae (Blankenship) Carter. She was an active member of Corinth Baptist Church. She owned and operated the House of Do-nuts in Gainesville. "Bill" enjoyed reading, learning, laughing and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Mack and Woodfin George Suttles, Jr.; three sisters and one brother.


Mrs. Suttles is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Mack and Don Crowell of Ponte Vedra, FL; Dawn Lanell and Bob Danzi of Lake Mary, FL; and Erin Suttles and Tim Drew of Brevard, NC; grandchildren, Kelly Carnicelli, Kevin Crowell, Robert Danzi and Colt and Raya Drew; brother and sister-in-law, Dewey G. and Fern Carter and sister and brother-in-law, Jo and Carter Knight.
