Sharon Hartley Dorsey

Sharon Hartley Dorsey, age 60 of Talmo, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm in Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Junior Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 12:00 noon till 1:30, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dorsey was born May 9, 1950 in Munich, Germany to the late Samuel Lafayett Hartley and Rachel Moon Hartley. She was a tax preparer and was preceded in death by her sister, Rhoda Chilvers and brother, Richard Hartley.

Mrs. Dorsey is survived by her husband, Byron "Joe" Dorsey of Talmo, daughter & son-in-law, Terri & William Riggs of Woodstock, son & daughter-in-law, Byron "Joe" Jr. & Sherry Dorsey of Florida, grandsons, Chase Dorsey and William "Buddy" Riggs, granddaughter, Nicole Ingui, great-grandson, Ricky Solorzano, sister & brother-in-law, Christine & Dan Thornton of Marietta, brothers & sisters-in-laws, Robert & Sherry Hartley of South Carolina and Samuel Jr. & Laura Hartley of Arizona.
