John Weldon Lovelady

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. John Weldon Lovelady age 70, of Hayesville, North Carolina.

Mr. Lovelady passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at Emory Midtown Hospital following an extended illness.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00pm, March 15, 2012 from New Hope Fellowship Baptist Church in Blairsville, with Rev. Chip Gribble officiating.

Mr. Lovelady was born in Orlando, Florida to the late Weldon Sellers Lovelady and Coralie Cooper Lovelady. He was a Millwright and was employed with Crown, Cork and Seal in Plymouth, Florida for some twenty years. He and wife moved to Georgia in 1998. Mr. Lovelady was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Lynn Lovelady.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Lovelady of Hayesville, NC; son John Lovelady Jr., Hiawassee; sons and daughter-in-laws, Scott and Detra Lovelady, Hiawassee; Christopher and Amanda Lovelady, Colorado Springs, CO, daughter Shannon Lovelady, Denver, NC; and brother William Lovelady, Pearl, Mississippi.
Flowers will be acknowledged or donations to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016.
