Oscar Wayne Lewis, age 64, of Auburn passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012.


Oscar loved to garden, go fishing and being outdoors. He loved his family and grandchildren, his John Deere and animals. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rachel Yvonne Medley Lewis; son Dwain Medley of Buford; daughters Faye Prescott and husband Ronnie of Lawrenceville; Missiy Bilbrey and husband Tony of Jacksonville, FL; Heather Glover and husband Scott of Buford; brothers David Lewis and wife Kay of Winder; Billy Lewis and wife Margie of Covington; Donnie Lewis of Winder; sisters Dorothy Joe Chambers and husband Billy of Grantsville; Sarah Parker and husband John of Stockbridge; Mary Jane Huff of Newnan; 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Oscar is preceded in death by his parents Roland and Mary Lewis; daughters Barbara Maddox and Beth Lewis; brothers Buddy Lewis and Earl Lewis.

The family received friends at Lawson Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, March 25, 2012. Pastor Tim Copeland officiated funeral services at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 25, 2012.
