Allan Mett

Mr. Allan Mett of Cumming, GA passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at his home in Cumming. He was 70 years old.

He was born in Milwaukee WI, the son of Erwin Mett and Ruth Harmel Mett on October 19, 1941. He graduated Washington High School in Milwaukee WI and then went on to join the USAF. After his tour of duty ended he enrolled at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and graduated with a Master's degree in Physics. He started in the Insurance business shortly after college and remained in the field until retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father Frank Rogers.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Mett, and his son, Glenn Allan Mett, two step-daughters, Cynthia Stamper and Sandra Carlton, and his special Grandson, Mitchell who knew him lovingly as 'Poppy'. He is also survived by a sister, Ellen Boynar, a brother, Ray Mett, two half-brothers, John and Mark Rogers, and 3 nieces, Andi Lynn, Sarah and Elizabeth, and one nephew, Michael.

The family will be receiving guests at Ingram Funeral Home on March 29, 2012 at 6:00 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 pm.
