Kenneth W. Harmon

Mr. Kenneth W. Harmon, age 60 of Commerce died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Northridge Medical Center. Mr. Harmon was born in Biloxi, MS to Marion M. Hutton Harmon of Albuquerque, NM and the late, Chester E. Harmon. He was a counselor for the GA Department of Corrections, Member of the Commerce First United Methodist Church, US Air Force Veteran that served in Vietnam and Desert Storm, President of the Commerce Lions Club, lifelong Boy Scouts supporter and leader, and a Scouting Executor for the Boy Scouts.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Harmon is survived by his wife, Christine (Chris) Jenkins Harmon of Commerce; sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Jacki Harmon, Jr. of Commerce and Jake and April Harmon of Jefferson; grandchildren, Private Zach Harmon, Allie Harmon, and Katie Harmon; brothers, Dr. Bruce Harmon of Colorado Springs, CO and Steve Harmon of Albuquerque, NM; and sister, Karen Lineburger of Marriott Island, FL.
Funeral service will be held Thursday April 5, at 2:00 PM from the Commerce First United Methodist Church with Dr. David Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 4-6 PM.
