Helen Blue

Mrs. Helen Blue, age 90, of Dahlonega GA died March 15, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Nancy Hilyer.

Mrs. Blue was born in Madden MS December 8, 1921. She had lived in Lumpkin County since July of 2011 after moving here from Memphis TN where she was a longtime resident. She was a retired professional photographer and a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church.

Mrs. Blue was the daughter of the late Robert Watkins and Myrtis Sanders Watkins and was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Wimbish Blue, and a daughter, Kim Berry.

Mrs. Blue is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Nancy and Elvin Hilyer, Dahlonega; Pat and Joseph Alexander, Memphis TN; two grandchildren: Rentz Hilyer, Annandale VA; Forest Hilyer, Dahlonega; one sister, Ann Raiford, West Linn OR; two brothers: Robert Watkins, Jackson MS; Bill Watkins, Salinas CA; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial service will be held.
