Coy Lowman

Coy Lowman, 98, of Dawsonville passed away Friday April 6, 2012 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a short illness.

Born June 20, 1913 to the late John W. and Louisa Lowman, he lived most of his life in Dawson County. Mr. Lowman retired from Motor Convoy after 30 years of service. He was a Deacon of Juno Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by a sister, Eula Sharp, and a brother, Austin Lowman.

Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Lucille Lowman, Dawsonville; sons and daughters in law, Robert and Wanda Lowman, Canton, Lee and Gail Lowman, Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Jay and Selma Lowman, Dawsonville; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 9, 2012 at 2 o'clock at Juno Baptist Church. Rev. Tommy Weldy, Rev. Tim Biddy and Rev. Dennis Bottoms will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 9 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Juno Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1230 Juno Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
