Lois Helen Daniel

Lois Helen Daniel, age 80 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at her residence.

Born in Demorest, GA on August 10, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Lula Fitzgerald Prater. Mrs. Daniel was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Coats & Clark with nearly 40 years of service. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Daniel was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Lewis Daniel; sisters, Dorothy Gibson and Louise Waddell; she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Mike Barden of Cornelia; daughter, Kathy Daniel of Mt. Airy; five grandchildren, Drew Barden, Brett Barden, Jenna Barden, Trevor Ausburn, and Jalen Ausburn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Matt Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
