Rufus Odell Willis, Jr

Rufus Odell Willis, Jr., age 67, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.

Mr. Willis was born in Commerce, Georgia on October 10, 1944, to the late Rufus Odell Willis, Sr. and Matilda Andrews Willis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ruth Patton and brother, Jewell Milton Willis. Mr. Willis was a member of Demorest Church of God.



Survivors include his sisters, Evelyn Wehunt, Commerce, GA, Beth Hogan, Baldwin, GA; Jackie Burrell, Cornelia, GA, Sara Ann Clark, Melissa Schepartz, and Barbara Merrett, all of Monroe, GA; brothers, Tommy Willis, Cleveland, GA, Jim Willis, Eatonton, GA, Johnny Willis, Good Hope, GA, Roger Willis, Clarkesville, GA, Terry Willis and Randy Willis, both of Baldwin, GA; a number of nieces and nephews.


Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Tim Beasley and Rev. Johnny Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, Lavonia, Georgia.



The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
