Blondine Wood Lovell

Funeral services for Blondine Wood Lovell, age 90, of Clarkesville will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the Providence Baptist Church. Dr. Don Drawdy will officiate with interment to follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Lovell died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born January 23, 1922 in Habersham County, Mrs. Lovell was the daughter of the late Tom F. and Elzia Lee Arrendale. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Mrs. Lovell was a master cake decorator and she was self employed as a professional cake decorator and teacher for over 25 years. Mrs. Lovell enjoyed quilting and she loved flowers. In addition to her parents Mrs. Lovell is preceded in death by sons Gene, Joseph, and Timothy Lovell, sister Ruth Smith and brothers Russell, Charles, and Raymond Wood.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years Virgil L. Lovell, Jr. of Clarkesville, sons and daughters in law Ronnie and Dolores Lovell and Terry and Diane Lovell all of Clarkesville, daughters and sons in law Martha and Wayne Bristol of Sautee, Carol B. and Bill Caputi of Athens, and Brenda and Lowell Tench of Cornelia, daughter in law Francis Lovell of Gainesville, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
