Elijah Julian (E.J.) Tapp Jr.

Mr. Elijah Julian (E.J.) Tapp Jr. Age 85 of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Saturday April 14, 2012 following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday April 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend J.D. Sosebee Jr. & Reverend Jeff Eldridge will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday April 21, 2012 from 5:00- 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Tapp was born on June 26, 1926 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Elijah J. Tapp Sr. and Ida Lou Gilstrap Tapp. He was a member of Gibsonia Full Gospel Church of God in Lakeland, Florida. He was preceded in death by his Parents, and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Tapp is survived by his wife, Gloria Tapp of Lakeland, Fl, son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Myra Tapp of Gainesville, son, Tony Tapp of Cleveland, granddaughter and husband, Lysa and Travis Gaddis of Dawsonville, grandson, Philip Tapp of Gainesville, great grand-children, Abey Gaddis and Eli Gaddis, brother, Ben Tapp of Murrayville, sister, Louise Clark of Gainesville, and several nieces and nephews.
