Christopher "Chris" Blalock

Christopher "Chris" Blalock, 42, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday April 26, 2012.

A native of Alpharetta, he lived a number of years in Forsyth County before moving to Dawson County 12 years ago. Chris was a graduate of Forsyth County High School and was formerly employed by Chestatee Ford. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Blalock Sullivan.

Surviving are his father and stepmother, Norman and Kathy Blalock, Dawsonville; brothers, Curtis Blalock, Alpharetta, Robert Newton, Alpharetta, Tyler Blalock, Dawsonville, Wesley Sullivan, Dawsonville; niece, Sarah Newton, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 30, 2012 at 12 noon at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Owens will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30 until 8 at the funeral home.
