James C. Milum

James C. Milum, age 88, of Cumming, GA., went home to be with his savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, June 2, 2012. Jimmy was a co-founder of Pine Crest Baptist Church and was the pastor there for many years. At age 17 he entered the Civilian Conservation Corps and at 19 he joined the U.S. Army and served in England and Germany during WWII. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Bonzlee Mundy Milum and grandson, Daniel Milum.

Surviving family members include his children, David and Martha Milum, Beth Willis, Dwight and Sheryl Milum, Susan and Rev. Ricky Waters, Jody Milum, Darlene and Nathan Lingerfelt; grandchildren, Chad Milum, Jay and Melissa Willis, Matthew Willis, Abby and Jim Rich, Audrey Milum, Nathan and Susan Waters, Lori and Andy Tipton, Nicole Lingerfelt, James Lingerfelt; 11 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, William and Charlene Daniel; sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Jessie Melton and a number of other loving relatives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Richard officiating. Interment will follow at Coal Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

The family would like to thank the Pine Crest Baptist Church family and a special thank you to Gracemont Assisted Living for their loving and tender care.
