Ora Pearl Fain Alexander

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Ora Pearl Fain Alexander, age 76 of Cleveland. Mrs. Alexander passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Atlanta Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00pm, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dave Fortner, Rev. George Fortner and Rev. Farrell Presley officiating. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park

Mrs. Alexander was born in Helen,Georgia October 24, 1936 to the late Thomas Napoleon Fain and Louvine Adams Fain. She had lived in White County her entire life and loved being a devoted Christian wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was widely known for her ability to sew, she loved to spend her free time doing cross stitch, quilting, needle point or just simply sewing a button on a blouse or shirt. Her talents even earned recognition by being displayed at the White County Historical Society. Born when hard work was the norm and not the exception, Mrs. Alexander always had a project going on either inside or outside her home, whether canning or freezing fresh vegetables or potting her favorite flowers, she lived on the premise that "hard work always paid off". She was an active member of Union Baptist Church and in addition to her parents, is preceded in death by her brother William Fain, sister in law, Helen Fain as well as her three infant grandchildren.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by her husband of 54 years Curtis Alexander, Cleveland, sons and
daughters in law, Anthony and Karen Alexander, Demorest; Brian and Connie Alexander, Cleveland; daughter and son in law Angela and Marvin Knauer, Phillipsburg, Montana; brother, Herbert Fain, Cleveland; brothers and sisters in law, Watson and Linda Fain, Duluth; Junior and Mary Lou Fain, Demorest; sisters, Helen Anderson, Cleveland, Opal Beavers, Tucker and Linda Stewart of Atlanta. Grandchildren, Kurt and Shaina Alexander, Clermont; Guston Alexander and Tristin Alexander of Demorest and Alex Knauer of Phillipsburg, Montana as well as Great granddaughters,Chloe Alexander and Ava Alexander. Mrs. Alexander is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews as well as a very special "sister" Virgina Fortner
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.
