Helen Dollar Banks

Helen Dollar Banks, age 79 of Buford, GA entered into eternal rest, Friday, June 22, 2012 after an extended illness.

Funeral service will be held Monday, June 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Frankie Southerland will officiate. Entombment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens.

The Family will receive friends Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 2 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Helen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Horace Banks, Buford. Children, Vicki and Mike Garrett, Buford, David (Hoby) and Jodi Banks, Suwanee, Keith Banks, Buford, Lisa Rolin, Flowery Branch; Grandchildren, Ansley Garrett, Wesley Garrett, Kerry Banks, Maggie and Matt Woodie, Matthew Rolin; Great Grandchildren, Stephen Garrett, Savannah Garrett, Emma Woodie, Ella Woodie; Sisters, Patsy Wiley, Buford, Linda Elinburg, Buford; Brother and Sister In-law, Ronald and Betty Dollar, Sugar Hill; Brother In-law, Joel Banks, Hoschton; Several Nieces and Nephews. Helen was also survived by her beloved dog and companion, Baxter.

Helen was a native and lifelong resident of Buford. She was retired from Gwinnett County Support Services, a former City Clerk of Duluth, and a former Clerk with City of Sugar Hill and attended Sugar Hill United Methodist Church.

Helen loved life, her family and the beach. She was an avid "BRAVES FAN" and will always live in the hearts of those who loved her.
