Pamela Kay Christmas

Pamela Kay Christmas, age 56 of Murrayville, passed away July 4th, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a long illness.

She was born February 8th, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia to Henry Wilbanks and Mary Ellen Westbrooks Wilbanks. She is a 1974 graduate of Towers High School in Decatur, Georgia. She went on to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. Pamela worked at Snellville Nursing Home for many years helping plan activities for the residents. Pamela had a natural ability to take care of those in need, always willing to help anyone. She would literally give you the shirt of her back if you needed it. Pam was the kind of person everyone loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen Wilbanks.

She is survived by partner of twenty two years John Whitfield, two daughters, Tracy Christmas Fullard of Talmo, Georgia and Jessica Christmas Mercado of Charlotte, North Carolina, a grandson, Manny Mercado also of Charlotte, her father, Henry Wilbanks of Decatur, Georgia, three brothers, Ricky Wilbanks of Decatur, Georgia, Barry Wilbanks of Jefferson, Georgia and Jeff Wilbanks of Loganville, Georgia, eight nephews and niece and five great nephews and nieces.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Brian Hall will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 6
