Dorothy Jean Rucker Moon

Ms. Dorthy "Dot" Jean Moon, age 63 of Gainesville, GA passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Dwight Nathaniel Rucker, Joe Paul Bell, David Lamar Rucker and sister Paulette Yvonne Buffington, her children: Brian Keith, Hugh William Moon and daughter Cassandra Rene King.
Ms. Dorothy Jean Rucker Moon was born August 14, 1948 in Dekalb County, to the late Mr. Hugh Dorsey and Mrs. Frances Champion Rucker. She passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Dorothy resided in Hall County (Lula, GA) where she attended Springfield Missionary Baptist Church and she worked at NEGM for many years.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories one son: Cory (Angela) Moon, sisters: Ollie (Ben) Harrison, Carol (Willie) Glenn, Mary Robinson and Evelyn Scott all of Gainesville, GA, one brother: William Rucker of Gainesville, GA, daughter-in-law Angela Moon, grandchildren: Sha' Ron Nicely of Florida, Bryan Nicely of Athens, GA, John M. King, Iquira Samone King, Bryan Moon, Brittany Moon of Athens, GA, Marquice Summerour, (George Moon, Pauline Moon) a special friend: Tonya Huff and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday July 15, 2012 at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services wil be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Springfield Baptist Church Lula at 2pm.
