Kathie "Grannie" Weaver

Kathie "Grannie" Weaver, 62, of Dawsonville passed away Monday August 6, 2012 at Chestatee Regional Hospital following a sudden illness.

Born October 4, 1949 in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Louis and Dorothy Weaver, she had lived in Dawson County for the past few weeks having moved from Stephens County. A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she had almost completed an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice with the University of Phoenix. She was planning to enter the mission field through Amicore. She was a member of The Rock of Habersham.

Surviving are her children, Jessica Hart and James Bender, Dawsonville, Rebecca and Scott Burnet, Martin, GA, John Hart, Jr. and Belinda Cheshire, Buckeye, AZ, Katherine and Andrew Ramirez, Hamilton, AL, Christine and Bobby Castalina, San Antonio, TX, Chris Haney, Bronson, FL; sister, Anita Weaver, Butte, Montana; brother, Fred Weaver, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and number of other relatives.

A gathering of remembrance will be held Saturday August 11, 2012 from 1 until 5 at The Rock of Habersham (Rock 2) building. The Burnet family welcomes relatives and other loved ones to the celebration of her life. Special prayers will be offered by Pastor Robin Martin during the church service on Sunday August 12, 2012 at 10:30am in the main sanctuary.
