Nancy Ann Maynard

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 11, 2012 in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Nancy Ann Maynard age 70 of Gainesville. Major Jim Smith and Rev. Earl Jarrard will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday August 10 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Maynard was born in Gainesville, Georgia on May 25, 1942 to the late John (Jack) Corn and Christine Newell Corn. She attended Gainesville Schools and graduated from Gainesville High School. She was a member of and active in The Salvation Army Church prior to a period of declining health. She retired from Milliken & Company New Holland Plant after 38 years of service as an Administrative Assistant. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 37 years Jerry Vance Maynard, Brother, John Wayne (Buddy) Corn, Maternal Grandparents, S.A. and Maybelle Chumbler Newell, Paternal Grandparents, Tom Corn and Viola Powell Corn Evans.

Survivors include Sister-in-Law and Brother-in-Law, Mildred and Jack Lankford of Burlington, NC, Special Cousin, Carolyn and Gary Cooper and Son Larry Davis, Special life long friends, Joe and Willie Rae Gee, God Children, Tim Gee, Jo Anne Gee Gibson and Beth Gee Knotts, Grand God Children, Joseph, Jacob and Erin Hope Gee, Blakely Wofford, Bailey Gibson and Savanna Knotts and several cousins and friends.
