Carolyn Reed Winters

Carolyn Reed Winters, 78, of Oakwood passed away Sunday September 16, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an brief illness.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday September 18, 2012 at 11:00am in Oakwood City Cemetery with the Rev. John Raburn, and Rev. Jerry Mauldin officiating. The family will receive friends Monday September 17, 2012 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Winters was born December 31, 1933 in Gainesville to the late Lloyd and Ruby Reed. She was retired and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Winters was preceded in death by her husband Fred Winters, and grandson Keith Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Denise & Benny Martin of Lula, granddaughter and husband Heather & Christian, granddaughter and husband Renee & Lewis, grandson and wife Chad & Angela, grandson and wife Blake & Jessica, 6 great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law Doug & Faye Reed of Oakwood. Also a number of nieces and nephews
