Adam Blake Smith, age 16, of Buford, Georgia, died Saturday, September 15, 2012.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Buford. Rev. Stephen Fountain, Rev. Wayne Johnson, Rev. Matt Stacey and Mr. Banks Bitterman will officiate. Interment will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford. The Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions may be made to The Adam Blake Smith Scholarship Fund at Peoples Bank and Trust, Buford.
Adam was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lloyd O. Smith and uncle, Benny Smith. Adam is survived by his parents, Jan and Mike Smith, Buford, Brothers, Cory Smith, Buford, Chandler Smith, Buford; Grandparents, Judy Pembroke "Mom-B", Buford, Ray and Cheryle Maddox, Hoschton, Roselle Smith, Sugar Hill; Great Grandmother, Evelyn Maddox, Buford; Aunts and Uncles, Allison and Mike Bryant, Buford, Teresa Smith, Buford, Jimmy Smith, Camdenton, MO, Randy and Barbara Smith, Powder Springs, Jimmy Maddox, Buford, Jesse and Candace Maddox, Winder.
Adam was born January 23, 1996 in Lawrenceville and a life long resident of Buford. He was a Junior at Buford High School, No. "10" on the Basketball Team and a member of First Baptist Church Buford.
