Obituary Date: Thursday, September 20, 2012
Mr. Austin Vickers age 93 of Gainesville passed away on Thursday September 20, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday September 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend David Beville Reverend Michael Grant Reverend Cary Grant and Reverend Roger Dunagan will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday September 22, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Austin was born on July 05, 1919 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Ernest Andrews Vickers and Agnes Benson Vickers. He was a veteran and served in the Army in World War II and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. He worked with Vickers Funeral Home and then after working there he went to work with Atlanta Linen where he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Margaret Kint Vickers, also his 3 sisters, Beatrice Westbrook, Flora Landers, Floyce Dunagan.

He is survived by his daughter, Kay Pinson of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Sheree and Johnny Harding of Flowery Branch, son, John Vickers of Carlisle Pennsylvania, 9 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, sister, Lillian Boyd of Gainesville, 7 Nieces and Nephews.
