Elbert Bradford Greemon

Funeral services for Mr. Elbert Bradford Greemon, age 98, of Clarkesville will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Anthony Shore and Rev. Chris York will officiate with interment to follow the service in Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Greemon died Sunday, September 23, 2012 following a period of declining health.

Born in Habersham County on September 17, 1914, Mr. Greemon was the son of the late Bill and Sarah Hall Greemon. He was a self employed finish carpenter and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Greemon was a United States Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, Mr. Greemon is preceded in death by his wife Elsie Beulah Greemon. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Survivors include nephews and nieces Jesse Smith, Tony Greemon, Gail Greemon Von Cannon, Irene Greemon Church Carpenter, Christine Greemon Palmer, Ann Greemon Leanord, Linda Greemon Phillips, Mike Ward, Junior Ward, Betty Gragg, Beverly McVey, Tommy Cash, Bertha Lee Green, Frances Ledford, and Ruth Mealor.
