Visitation will be at Ginn Funeral Home Thursday, 6-8 PM, October 4, 2012. Funeral services, 2 PM, Friday, October 5, 2012, at Indian Creek Baptist Church with Reverends Bill Stacey, Arnold Johnson and Bob Barnard,. Jim, a native of Hall County, GA, was owner/operator of J.H. Brooks Trucking.

Preceded in death by father James Howard Brooks Sr. of Chestnut Mountain, GA, survivors who loved Jim dearly include mother Irene Whelchel Brooks, Wilmore, KY; son Jimmy Brooks, III, home; daughter Jamie Brooks, home,
Angel Blackwell, Gainesville, GA; sisters Evelyn Barnard (Bob), Wilmore, KY, Barbara Johnson (Arnold) Jacksonville, NC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
