Robert Eugene "Gene" Goss

Robert Eugene "Gene" Goss, age 61 of Clarkesville, passed away Saturday, October 06, 2012.

Born in Habersham County, GA on July 23, 1951, he was a son of the late Frank Goss, Sr. and Georgia Lee Nations Goss Sosebee. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Frank Goss, Jr. and Randolph Goss; sisters, Linda Faye Goss and Betty Jean Burton; daughter-in-law, Tina Marie Goss.
Mr. Goss was a retired fixer with Habersham Mills and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are son, Matt Goss of Cornelia; daughter, Chrystal Goss Coker of Baldwin; step-father, Coy Sosebee of Clarkesville; sisters, Mary Umbehant of Clarkesville, Ruby Lee Farmer of Cornelia, Mae Jones of Clayton, Frances Free of Alto and Geneva Reece of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Merinda, Jason and Justin Goss all of Cornelia; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Thursday, October 11, 2012, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Austin Kelly and Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. Interment will follow in Clarkesville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Wednesday.
