George Winton Bagwell

George Winton Bagwell, age 90 of Cumming, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012.

He was born June 12, 1922 to Bob and Graff Bagwell. Mr. Bagwell was a long time member at Brookwood Baptist Church. After 37 ½ years he retired from Bostich-Autosoler, served on the Advisory Board for DeKalb Tech and Northeast Georgia Tech and had headed up the Junior Achievement Program. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in WWII and was an avid fisherman.

Mr. Bagwell was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Graff Bagwell; brothers, Haldene Bagwell and Myron Bagwell.



Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Beth Bagwell of Cumming; children, Howard and Carole Clayton of Cumming, Ronnie and Merry Bagwell of Winder, Larry and Jan Garner of Loganville; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15th at 11:00 am at Brookwood Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Nix and Rev. Scott Huskins officiating. Interment will follow in Brookwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am till hour of the service.
