Christine G. Collins

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Miss Christine G. Collins, age 95, of Jefferson, who passed away Sunday October 14, 2012.

Miss Collins was born in Commerce, GA, a daughter to the late John Alton Collins and the late Daisy Belle Gober Collins. Miss Collins was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson where she was a member of the Kizer Bible Class, UMW, Choir Member and donated the Conference Room Furniture to the Church. Miss Collins was also retired from the US Navy, where she was a LT. Commander in the Navy Nurses Corps. Miss Collins was also retired from the University of Georgia.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October,17, 2012 at 11am in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Laskey officiating. The burial will follow in the Jackson Memorial Park. The visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 10-11am, prior to the service, in the funeral home.
